Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various materials handling tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic parts environment, supporting shipping, receiving, and stock management processes. The ideal applicant will have prior warehouse experience and possess the physical capability for heavy lifting and load handling.
Duties
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively (training provided if necessary)
- Manage stock levels using the warehouse management system, ensuring accurate recording of inventory movements
- Prepare orders by picking and packing items according to specifications
- Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, verifying deliveries against purchase orders
- Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimise space utilisation
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment or materials handling role (desirable)
- Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred but not essential; training available)
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and stock control processes
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
