Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative specialising in Picking and Packing to join our team on a fixed-term contract for three months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a busy warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently picking, packing and preparing orders ready for collection. Atleast one years experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment is required. This position is ideal for individuals who are able to lift, carry, bend, stand and able to work at heights on a manriser, organised, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation.
Duties
- Accurately picking items from stock based on order requirements using warehouse management systems
- Packing goods securely for dispatch, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet specified standards
- Being able to Operate a Man Riser is essential for the role.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times during handling and movement of goods
Qualifications
- Previous experience of atleast a year in warehousing or logistics is required.
- Knowledge of materials handling, picking & packing.
- Ability to operate a Man riser is essential for the role.
- Lift, carry, bend, stand and able to work at heights and manual handling tasks throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in order fulfilment and quality control
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
