As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a key role in handling the goods that pass through the Warehouse efficiently and accurately working to agreed productivity targets and schedules.
Duties:
- Ensuring that all goods picked and packed that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork (appliances weighing up to 170kg)
- Always Treating merchandise with care and concern
- Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules
- Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner
- Taking responsibility for a company’s freight and assets by reporting any suspicious activity at work
Criteria
- Must having previous experience with heavy lifting, this role entitles lifting heavy appliances
- A real team player who isn't afraid to get involved and roll their sleeves up
- Passionate about doing a job well
- Fun & 'can-do' attitude
- Previous experience with lifting heavy goods is essential for this role
- Physically fit to load/unload appliance
Work Pattern:
- Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm
- You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
