Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Warehouse Picker / Warehouse Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
Duties
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- Re-stocking products in the warehouse
- Organizing stock and keeping warehouse areas tidy
- Assisting with general warehouse duties
- Helping with loading and unloading goods
- Cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment
- Occasionally collecting or delivering goods
- Occasionally assisting a driver on short local delivery routes of approximately 10–20 miles
- Candidates should be physically fit, dependable, and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics team.
Important Points Before Applying
Applicants should be aware that this role involves:
- This is a NIGHT SHIFT role
- Working in a chilled warehouse environment
- Handling packed food products and ingredients weighing from 1kg to 25kg
- Handling products that may contain pork meat, including chorizo, salami, prosciutto and cured meats
- Physical warehouse work, including lifting, moving and organising stock
Applicants Must
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have a reasonable level of English for communication, health & safety and warehouse instructions
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Be physically able to handle items up to 25kg, for example sacks of rice
- Have a positive, practical and “can-do” attitude
Useful Skills / Experience
The following would be helpful but are not essential:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Previous experience in a food wholesale warehouse
- Knowledge of food products such as cheeses, cured meats, chorizo, hams, etc.
- Ability to work at pace while maintaining attention to detail
- Driving licence
- Forklift licence
Experience is not essential, as training will be provided.
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
