Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient workflow. The role involves supervising warehouse activities, maintaining inventory control, ensuring proper use of the Odoo ERP system, and coordinating daily dispatch and receiving functions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational standards, warehouse safety, and overall efficiency while reporting issues and performance updates to the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Verify incoming goods against delivery documentation and ensure accurate receiving records.
- Check and confirm outgoing goods before dispatch to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management at all times.
- Update and maintain warehouse transactions and stock records in the Odoo ERP system.
- Monitor and manage packaging materials and ensure sufficient stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock takes and investigate any discrepancies.
- Ensure proper warehouse housekeeping, cleanliness, and organisation standards are maintained.
- Oversee daily warehouse closing procedures and ensure all activities are completed and recorded.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for next-day delivery planning and scheduling.
- Monitor operational requirements and report any issues, delays, or shortages to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure warehouse security procedures are followed and assets are protected.
- Support compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational standards.
- Assist in improving warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics processes.
- Experience using Odoo ERP or similar warehouse management systems.
- Good leadership and team supervision skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and stock handling.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer literacy and confidence in ERP systems.
- Understanding of health & safety standards in a warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience or certification is an advantage.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
