Responsible for warehouse duties including picking, packing, stock management, goods-in/goods-out activities, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Ensures Health and Safety is paramount in all warehouse-related activities and that company procedures are followed at all times.
Major TasksWarehouse Duties
- Pulls warehouse items from shelves based on product number, size, quantity, and quality requirements.
- Manages picking orders using the correct equipment.
- Ensures stock, warehouse picks, and transfers are accurate to the quantities requested.
- Performs stock replenishment activities as required.
- Receives, checks, and stores incoming goods.
- Prepares orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
- Maintains warehouse organisation and housekeeping standards.
- Operates warehouse handling equipment in accordance with training and safety procedures.
Health and Safety
- Reports any damage to stock, equipment, or facilities to management as soon as possible.
- Maintains high standards of health and safety in all warehouse activities.
- Uses and wears the correct PPE in accordance with company guidelines.
- Follows safe manual handling and lifting procedures.
- Ensures work areas are kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
Loading and Dispatch
- Shrink-wraps products to pallets, ensuring loads are secure and protected from damage.
- Assists with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Checks outgoing goods against delivery documentation.
- Ensures goods are prepared and staged correctly for collection and dispatch.
Professional Conduct and Communication
- Remains professional at all times.
- Maintains clear communication with the Depot Manager and colleagues.
- Works collaboratively with team members to achieve operational objectives.
Other Duties
- Performs other general warehouse duties as reasonably requested by management to support company objectives.
Key Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move goods safely.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence (desirable)
Pay: £13.25-£13.32 per hour
