Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to deliver orders to our valued customers across Central London and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining the professional standards expected by our customers.
Location
Our premises are located just south of Westminster Bridge in the London Borough of Lambeth (SE1).
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products to customers throughout Central London and surrounding areas.
- Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload products carefully, maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure a smooth delivery operation.
- Work collaboratively with other drivers and team members to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on schedule.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and promptly report any faults or maintenance requirements.
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence with an excellent driving record.
- Previous delivery driving experience (minimum two years preferred).
- Ability to keep a company-assigned vehicle securely parked at home (for business use only).
- Strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and courteous manner.
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting, including loading and unloading goods.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours
This position requires a 50-hour working week:
- Monday to Friday: 5:00am – 2:00pm
- Saturday: 6:00am – 11:00am
Flexibility may be required during particularly busy periods throughout the year.
