Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving deliveries, managing inventory, preparing orders, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries.
- Store goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- Prepare items for dispatch and shipment.
- Load and unload vehicles safely.
- Conduct stock checks and inventory counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (where licensed).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Report damaged stock, equipment faults, or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not always essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
