Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Takeaway Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food orders promptly and safely to customers across the local area. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication, and a customer-focused attitude. Responsibilities
- Collect food orders from the restaurant or central kitchen in a timely manner
- Deliver orders accurately to customers’ specified locations within the designated area
- Ensure all deliveries are made in a courteous and professional manner
- Handle cash or electronic payments where applicable, maintaining accurate records
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status or any issues that may arise
- Follow all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous
- Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is beneficial
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
