Our client is looking for a Warehouse Workerto join their small busy team based in Tottenham, North London. The role involves picking kitchen and bathroom goods for customers in a safe, efficient and friendly manner. You will also be required to carry out general warehouse duties and clean and maintain the premises.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, trustworthy and hard-working individual who enjoy working in a team environment. You must be prepared to do lots of lifting and loading. Previous warehouse experience is essential for this role (forklift experience is preferred)
Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5.00pm (with flexibility and overtime)
Benefits: 38 days paid annual leave
Main duties include:
- Develop excellent customer relations by being courteous and helpful at all times.
- General warehouse duties, ensuring stock is sorted and processed in a quick, precise manner
- Load and unload deliveries, manually lifting the goods as required
- Keeping the warehouse and service area clean
- Ensure customers receive the correct goods on time and in excellent condition
- Report any concerns, problems or issues relating to products/orders to your Supervisor/Manager immediately
- Complete all necessary administration and recording in accordance with Company guidelines
- Communicate effectively and work closely with colleagues in the team and in the office
- Report any incident or accidents to your Line Manager in accordance with Company policy
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety, Quality, Security and Environmental compliance standards
Requirements for the role:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Forklift experience desirable
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a professional manner at all times
- Able to use own initiative and demonstrate a common sense approach to all duties
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management skills
- Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks and work overtime to meet delivery deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
