Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling materials efficiently, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or those eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. The role involves physical labour, including heavy lifting, and requires attention to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials through picking, packing, and stock replenishment to meet daily operational needs
- Operating pallet trucks and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
- Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
- Ensuring accurate order fulfilment through quality control checks
- Organising stock storage areas for optimal accessibility and safety
- Supporting mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and repairs
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred; training will be provided for specific systems and equipment
- Knowledge of materials handling, picking & packing, labelling, stocking, and quality control processes
- Ability to operate pallet trucks safely; valid certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and load & unload lorries regularly
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety protocols

Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
