As a Warehouse Operative in Production you will play a vital role in ensuring that the Production team has the right raw materials, ingredients, and packaging available at the right time. Working within the Production unit but based primarily in the warehouse, you will ensure efficient stock flow, accurate replenishment, and strong coordination between warehouse and production.
Shift: 7am-4pm, 5 out of 7 days (weekends included)
Salary: £27,293 per annum
This role supports the smooth running of daily production schedules by managing goods-in movement, organising storage, rotating stock, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and accuracy. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that directly contributes to keeping production lines running efficiently and safely. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Stock Replenishment & Material Supply

Ensure production areas are continuously supplied with the correct ingredients, packaging, and materials required for daily production plans.

Replenish stock within production storage zones and maintain accurate levels to prevent shortages.

Pick and stage raw materials for upcoming batches or work orders.
Goods-In and Warehouse Operations

Receive deliveries into the Production Unit warehouse, check quantities, and move goods to designated storage areas.

Handle both ambient and chilled products safely using appropriate PPE.

Support stock rotation, especially for short-life or date-sensitive products.
Inventory Accuracy & Organisation

Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies promptly.

Maintain an organised, tidy, and compliant warehouse environment to support efficient production operations.

Ensure all materials are correctly labelled, stored, and accessible for production teams.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all site H&S and food safety standards, including correct PPE use and safe manual-handling practices.

Report hazards, equipment issues, or near misses immediately.

Maintain high standards of hygiene across all warehouse and production-adjacent areas.
Teamwork & Communication

Work collaboratively with production teams to understand upcoming material needs and support smooth workflows.

Communicate clearly with supervisors to prioritise tasks effectively.

Support colleagues across the Production Unit when required.
We are looking for someone who has:

Experience working in a warehouse, production, or similar fast-paced environment.

Ability to read and interpret pick lists, production batch sheets, or stock movement instructions.

Comfortable working in both ambient and chilled environments.

Competent in manual handling and safe lifting techniques.

Experience working in a food manufacturing or production setting.

Basic computer skills for completing stock records or system updates.

Forklift, reach truck or pallet truck experience (training can be provided).

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a busy production team.
