Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse/Factory Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and organisation. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems
- Handle materials with care during loading, unloading, and movement within the facility
- Assist with picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Support shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conduct stock replenishment and organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or factory environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Experience with forklift operation is desirable; certification is a plus but not mandatory
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stock handling tasks
- Familiarity with materials handling, stock control, and shipping & receiving procedures
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in order fulfilment and inventory management

Pay: £26,436.80-£28,080.00 per year
