As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and consistent operation of warehouse equipment’s. This role ensures standards are always maintained to support product quality and compliance with internal and external regulations
Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
Carry out daily counts of soiled cages.
Receive and process goods from multiple deliveries
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and well organised in line with 5S standards.
Offload the soiled cages by customer and placed them in the designated area
Immediately report any hazards to the Assistant Shift Manager.
Understand all risk assessments and Safe Operating Procedures, ensuring full compliance by all warehouse operatives.
Maintain warehouse areas in a safe and tidy condition free from rubbish and obstructions with any external storage kept only in designated locations.
Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and compliance teams
Work collaboratively with production and engineer teams to support a consistent workflow.
Ensure all walkways and the fire exits always remain clear.
Dispose of all waste in the bins provided
Ensure all contractual security measures are fully followed including site access controls and compliance with directed party secure area requirements.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Must have Right to Work in the UK
- You will be required to pass pre-employment screening, including 5 years of employee reference checking
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- Open and innovative when working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
