Job Description:
The Albex Group (Kent Foods Limited) is seeking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative / General Labourer at our depot in London Gateway.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of warehouse duties which will include:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles;
- General labour, you will need to be physically fit due to the manual labour involved;
- Housekeeping duties within the warehouse, including hygiene & cleaning;
- Working under Food Hygiene Regulations;
- Fork Lift experience essential, counterbalance and reach truck preferred
- Experience of order picking is desirable although full training will be provided.
You will be required to be computer literate, hardworking whilst adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.
The ideal candidate must have:-
- A flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate with colleagues
- Have previous experience in a similar environment
The role is based on 48 hours per week but you will be expected to undertake working hours which are necessary to meet the needs of the business and therefore a flexible approach is required. We operate a shift pattern, working Mondays till Fridays.
Licence/Certification
- Proficiency in using forklift trucks
- Must have counter balance and reach fork lift truck licenses
Late shift: 14:00 – 23:30
Pay: £31,000.00 per year
