A DVLA check code will be requested before interview. Candidates who cannot provide a clean DVLA record cannot be progressed, because insurance approval is mandatory for this role.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Private Family Chauffeur to support a private household in South West London, SW18.

This is a permanent, full time, PAYE only position. The role requires discretion, reliability, excellent punctuality, flexibility, and a professional family focused approach at all times.

This role is strictly for candidates with proven private family chauffeur or high level professional chauffeur experience.

This role is not suitable for applicants whose experience is only taxi driving, Uber, ride hailing, Amazon delivery, courier work, food delivery, or general delivery driving without proven private household or executive chauffeur experience.

The successful candidate must be comfortable with school runs, family transport, errands, vehicle care, and working around a private household with complete discretion.

Key Duties

The duties include, but are not limited to:

Safely and professionally driving family members
School runs, appointments, airport transfers, and family engagements
Planning routes properly and adapting to traffic or schedule changes
Opening and closing vehicle doors where appropriate
Assisting with luggage, shopping, children’s items, and personal belongings
Supporting light transport related errands when requested
Maintaining assigned vehicles in a clean, presentable, fuelled, and roadworthy condition
Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting issues immediately
Recording and submitting vehicle related expenses correctly
Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding family matters, locations, routines, and personal information
Following UK road traffic laws and all lawful household instructions

Essential Requirements

Applications without the following will not be considered:

Proven experience as a private family chauffeur or professional chauffeur
Experience with school runs and family driving
Full UK manual driving licence
Clean DVLA driving record with zero points and no active endorsements
Ability to provide a DVLA check code before interview
Strong knowledge of London roads and routes
Excellent punctuality and reliability
Calm, professional communication style
High standard of discretion and confidentiality
Smart presentation and good personal hygiene
Right to work in the UK
Willingness to complete appropriate background checks
Willingness to provide recent references from previous employers

Vehicle And Minibus Requirement

The main role is private family chauffeuring.

Candidates must be confident driving family vehicles, including larger vehicles where required.

Experience driving a manual minibus or larger passenger vehicle is highly preferred. Candidates with D1 or D category entitlement should state this clearly in their application.

Insurance approval remains mandatory before employment can be confirmed.

Working Hours

The role is full time.

Expected working pattern:

8 hours per day
6 days per week
Monday to Saturday
Flexibility required depending on family needs

Occasional additional time may be required due to traffic, school timing, family needs, airport journeys, or unforeseen circumstances. Any additional time arrangement will be handled in accordance with the employment agreement.

The total working time must comply with UK working time rules. Workers usually cannot work more than an average of 48 hours per week unless they agree to opt out in accordance with the law.

Salary

Salary is £45,000 per year gross, paid monthly through PAYE.

This is before tax, National Insurance, and any other lawful deductions.
