Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative/Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling and preparing orders, and ensuring accurate stock management within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills further while contributing to smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Using hand-held scanners or picking lists to locate and select items from shelves.
- Packaging: Packing goods securely into boxes, ensuring correct materials are used to prevent damage.
- Quality Control: Inspecting products for damage or defects before they are shipped.
- Accuracy: accurately checks against Pharmacy issued prescription items which can be POM (Prescription Only Medicine) & Aesthetics products
- Labelling and Scanning: Labelling packages with shipping information and logging items in the inventory system.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Restocking shelves, processing incoming deliveries, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
- Logistics Support: Loading and unloading deliveries and assisting with inventory counts.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or order-picking experience is preferable.
- High accuracy in picking the correct products and quantities.
- Ability to meet daily picking and packing targets and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of using handheld scanners or warehouse management software.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and load & unload goods regularly throughout the shift.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control purposes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
