Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Remote Courier Coordinator to manage and optimize a fleet of delivery personnel across the UK. This is a pivotal, fully remote role requiring exceptional communication and logistical planning skills. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods, liaising with drivers, customers, and internal dispatch teams to resolve any issues that may arise. The primary focus will be on streamlining operations, improving delivery success rates, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, all from your home office.

Key Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the daily operations of a distributed team of couriers, ensuring adherence to schedules and delivery protocols. Developing and implementing strategies to enhance route efficiency and reduce delivery times and costs. Monitoring driver performance and providing feedback and coaching to improve service quality. Utilizing advanced tracking software to maintain real-time visibility of all deliveries and proactively address potential delays or disruptions. Serving as the primary point of contact for escalated delivery-related issues, working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to find swift and effective solutions. Analyzing delivery data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and operational performance metrics. Communicating effectively with customers regarding delivery updates, exceptions, and inquiries. Ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies. Collaborating with the logistics and operations management to forecast resource needs and support fleet expansion or adjustments.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in logistics coordination, dispatch management, or a similar operational role, preferably within a remote or distributed team environment. Excellent problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously are essential. You should be proficient with logistics management software, GPS tracking systems, and standard office productivity tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are paramount, as you will be interacting with a diverse range of individuals daily. A self-starter attitude and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision are crucial for success in this fully remote position.
