Salary: £26,557.55 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time, 39 hours per week, Wednesday - Saturday 8:30-17:00 Sunday 08:30-16:00.

As an Operations Support Officer in our Leisure team, you’ll play a key role in keeping a busy, multi-use sports and conferencing facility running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Your work will directly support colleagues, visitors, and the wider community to enjoy a high-quality environment every day.

In this varied, hands-on role, you’ll help create a welcoming, safe and engaging space where people can train, compete and connect. From supporting daily operations and compliance to helping deliver events and maintain facilities, your contribution will have a positive impact on both customer experience and community wellbeing.

What you’ll do as a Operations Support Officer

You’ll be entrusted to:

Support the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained environment
Open and close buildings, monitor site security, and respond to incidents or emergencies
Carry out compliance checks and support health and safety standards in line with company procedures
Assist with event and activity setups, including physical tasks such as moving equipment and preparing spaces
Transport colleagues and carry out offsite duties using company vehicles
Support Duty Managers and cover shifts when required, including weekends and nights

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

Experience in a supervisory or operational role within a leisure, hospitality or similar environment
A good understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application
Strong communication and customer care skills, with confidence working with a wide range of people
Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations
A full, clean UK driving licence and confidence driving company vehicles
