Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse and general operative to join our maintenance team in Basildon and work hand in hand with our experienced technician and admin team to satisfy our customers and partners needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for daily warehouse control and management as well as working in conjunction with the repair centre engineer diagnosing and repairing a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency for our customers.
The Warehouse and Repair Centre Operative will play a vital part in supporting the smooth running of our facilities on a daily basis working closely with our internal administration , technical support and field engineers.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving who has a key understanding and experience of operating and developing warehouse processes and procedures hand in hand with experience in repair and testing of electronic ad mechanical hot and glue gluing systems.
Duties
Warehouse Duties – (estimated at 65% of time)
· On a daily basis complete and collate customer / supplier orders and prepare for dispatch
· On a weekly and ad hoc basis receive and book in received goods into out warehouse.
· Ensure the cleanliness and controls are in place in the warehouse to ensure an effective warehouse is always available.
· Activity ensure that the warehouse holdings are monitored and audited effectively to ensure a competent and compliant warehouse is available to the business.
Repair Centre Duties (estimated at 35% of time)
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify faults or potential issues on a customer’s behalf and determine the items required to repair the items
- Perform repairs, replacements on mechanical, electrical, and gluing systems
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety procedures are followed during all repair activities.
- Order and manage stock levels of spare parts and tools required for repairs.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience as a Repair or maintenance Technician or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics procedures and processes.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance challenges.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are advantageous.
- Prior experience working with health and safety standards in industrial environments is preferred.

Pay: £27,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
