Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Night Delivery Driver to join our team immediately. This role involves making timely deliveries during night hours, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing deliveries efficiently while adhering to all road safety regulations. A valid driver’s licence and previous delivery or commercial driving experience are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct night-time deliveries to various locations, ensuring all items are delivered accurately and on schedule
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, complying with all road traffic laws and company policies
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, including organising stock and preparing parcels for delivery
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper lifting techniques and safe driving practices
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s licence, preferably with a driver qualification or equivalent
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling in a warehouse environment is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- Good organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle multiple deliveries
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is desirable
