Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Driver/Chauffeur to provide safe and efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves operating various types of vehicles, maintaining high standards of safety, and ensuring timely arrivals at designated locations.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including passenger cars and larger commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport clients or goods to specified destinations in a punctual and courteous manner
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior and exterior
- Plan routes efficiently to optimise travel time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding schedules or any delays
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, insurance, and safety requirements at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with commercial driving or delivery driver experience
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; appropriate classification for the vehicle type being operated
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and defensive driving techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for loading tasks
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify minor issues and ensure vehicle safety standards are met
- Organised with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently
