We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s licence and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery logs and invoices
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times
- Assist with warehouse tasks as required, including stock movement and inventory checks
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Familiarity with GPS devices or route planning software is preferred
