We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring all goods are secured during transit.
- Verify delivery orders against shipment documentation before departure and upon arrival.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
- Comply with all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience.
- Experience operating flatbed vehicles or lorries is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy packages when necessary and handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late afternoons.
