Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load, unload, and secure goods on delivery vehicles with care to prevent damage during transit
Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet scheduled delivery times
Verify delivery details against orders, obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers, and complete all necessary documentation accurately
Communicate proactively with dispatch to report progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal safety and maintenance standards are met
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers during deliveries

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role with a focus on commercial driving
Strong knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safe driving practices
Experience with flatbed trucks or specialized delivery vehicles preferred
Excellent time management skills to adhere to tight schedules
Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting packages and securing cargo efficiently
Good communication skills for clear interaction with customers and team members
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus
